Travis Kelce Met With Chorus of Boos At Mavericks Game
Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce might be widely beloved in the NFL world. But that isn’t necessarily the case when it comes to NBA fans.
Kelce and his fellow Chiefs player Patrick Mahomes attended a Dallas Mavericks game. While the men seemed to have a great time together, plenty of Mavericks fans felt less than enthused to see them in attendance.
What exactly happened?
Dallas Mavericks Fans Express Distate For Travis Kelce
As the NBA finals continue, plenty of household names are attending the games to show their support to their favorite teams. Occasionally, cameras show some of the bigger names onscreen. This was the case when Kansas City players Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes attended a recent Dallas Mavericks game.
But not everyone was happy to see them.
According to TMZ, some cheered for Kelce but many others booed. He seemed slightly taken aback by the chorus of jeers but smiled on. The publication reports that the crowd seemed much more friendly toward Patrick Mahomes, who had his wife Brittany by his side.
Despite the mixed reactions from the crowd, the Dallas Mavericks extended the NFL players a warm welcome on social media.
On X, the team’s account wrote, “Our guy Pat and @taylorswift13‘s boyfriend in the house!”

Patrick Mahomes is a Texas native, so that could possibly explain why Mavericks fans applauded him. It’s anyone’s guess as to why they widely decided to boo Travis Kelce.
Perhaps he would have received a warmer welcome if Taylor Swift accompanied him to the basketball game.

As far as the public knows, Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce haven’t gotten engaged yet. But fans sincerely hope it’s just a matter of time until the NFL star proposes. In fact, he even recently shared that he’s become quite a romantic. Most fans strongly suspect that Taylor Swift has softened his heart and can’t wait to see where their relationship goes in the future.
As the summer continues, fans will continue talking about Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift’s whirlwind romance. Perhaps by the end of the year, there will be an upcoming wedding to discuss.
