Travis Kelce recently made it official. The Super Bowl champion and Taylor Swift’s boyfriend recently confirmed his hosting gig, which fans have speculated on for some time. So, what do we know so far about his new show, as well as his hosting duties?
Travis Kelce Has Already Conquered The Gridiron
Travis Kelce has reached the biggest stage in the NFL world and dominated it. Along with the rest of his team, the Kansas City Chiefs are actively building a dynasty. With Super Bowl hardware to his name and an active hall-of-fame career, that would be more than enough for Travis to ride off into the sunset.
However, as longtime Travis Kelce fans know, he has always had his sights set on the entertainment space. From his days filming Catching Kelce to now dating Taylor Swift, he is clearly making that transition, and, he recently confirmed his next move officially.
Travis Kelce Confirms New Hosting Gig
Travis Kelce recently made it official. He confirmed what has been circulating for weeks, that he will officially host Are You Smarter Than A Celebrity? The show follows the tried and true formula that worked so well for Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?
Travis Kelce said in an official statement to PEOPLE: “I grew up loving game shows, and I’m excited to be following in the footsteps of so many TV icons by hosting my very first one.” Kelce added: “The original show is a great success, so to be bringing a new format with everyone’s favorite celebrities to the screen, will definitely be entertaining.”
A Proven Formula With A Celebrity Twist
Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader? was a major hit. So, it’s not a big surprise that Prime Video wanted to bring back that winning formula, with a twist. Instead of elementary school students, the show will feature a panel of celebs, which, by itself is a big draw.
Contestants will have to answer 11 questions correctly in order to nab the big money prize. The final question will be on a 6th-grade level, and will be worth $100k.
To help contestants along their journey toward the big money, there will be a panel of celebs from the stage, screen, and sports. Rather than competing against the celebs, the contestants will be “enlisting their help.”

This will all go down with Travis Kelce at the helm, overseeing all of the action on the way to, hopefully, a big payday for participants on the show.
Travis Kelce has also been rehearsing and going through a completely different training regimen to get ready for his new hosting gig. So, it’ll be interesting to see how things pan out once the revamped show airs.
