Will Robert Irwin Join ‘Dancing With The Stars’ This Fall?
Could another Irwin join the Dancing With The Stars family? Bindi Irwin and her professional partner Derek Hough took home the Mirrorball Trophy in Season 21. Now, plenty of fans would like to see Robert Irwin step into the ballroom.
But would he ever do it?
The Irwins live in Australia, which has its own version of Dancing With The Stars. They also have the Australia Zoo to manage, as well as various other media appearances.
See what Robert Irwin himself had to say about the possibility.
Robert Irwin Has Mirrorball Champion Bindi’s Shoes To Fill
The Irwin family may have quite a bit on their plates, but they’re still looking for new opportunities. Plenty of DWTS lovers want to see Robert Irwin step into the ballroom.
In a new interview, ET asked about the Irwin family’s future on television. They’re dedicated conservationists, but would they try anything else?
“I would like to see you both on Dancing With The Stars,” Bindi said to her mother Terri and brother Robert. “I think you guys would be really good at that.”
Robert admitted he’d also like to have that opportunity.
“I’d give that a go,” the 20-year-old said. “Yeah, I’d give it a go. I’d do it.”

Of course, Dancing With The Stars was a phenomenal experience for Bindi Irwin. But Terri remembered at the time, Bindi was sure she was just one performance away from elimination.
“Can I tell you, I thought it was funny ’cause with Dancing With The Stars you, every week, you go in to do the show, which of course was live, and you pack your bag because if you get voted off, you get on a plane, directly fly to New York to do Good Morning America. And every week you religiously packed your bag and thought, ‘This is it. I’m gonna go home.’ … but it wasn’t until the second to the last show that you said, ‘Maybe I have a chance.’ I thought that was funny ’cause you scored more 10s than anyone who’s ever been on the show,” Terri shared.
The Australian Conservationist Wanted To Join The Series Years Ago
Of course, this isn’t the first time Dancing With The Stars has come up with the Irwins. As TV Shows Ace previously noted, Robert Irwin was eager to join the series years ago.
In 2022, Robert told ET that he thought it was “about time” he got a chance to shine in the ballroom.
“I’d definitely give it go,” he shared before turning to Bindi and adding, “I reckon you could give me some tips. I think it’d be a lot of fun.”
