Jimmy Kimmel Roasts Mark Consuelos Over Flub
While Jimmy Kimmel was visiting the Live With Kelly And Mark show, he took his opportunity to jab Mark Consuelos for his poor choice. Undeniably, as a guest, it was a backhanded roast in Kelly Ripa and Mark’s home court. But Kelly was happy to join forces.
Jimmy Kimmel And Kelly Ripa Gang Up On Mark Consuelos
During a recent episode of Live With Kelly And Mark, Kelly Ripa gets support from the guest, Jimmy Kimmel. Undoubtedly, Mark Consuelos and Kelly know each other well with their twenty-eight years of marriage together. However, even with their experience, Mark finds ways to agitate Kelly. While it isn’t uncommon for Kelly to call out Mark about this or that, it is unusual for the guest and Kelly to bombard him together. But Jimmy was more than happy to accommodate by bringing up a sensitive matter: Mother’s Day.
Jimmy Kimmel Roasts Mark Consuelos For His Mother’s Day Flub
Although many people get it right on Mother’s Day, showering their moms, wives, and other influential ladies with love and praise, Jimmy Kimmel points out that Mark Consuelos missed the mark. While bringing up the recent holiday, Jimmy shows the audience “what not to do” by bringing attention to Mark’s Mother’s Day flub. On Mark’s Instagram page, he posts a photo of Kelly Ripa and his mom hugging. Then he captions: “2 for 1. Happy Mother’s Day to these two gems. Love you.” Eagerly, Jimmy shows the post and proceeds to roast him for his poor choices.
Jimmy Kimmel Uses Mark To Ease His Own Mistake
Notably, Jimmy Kimmel’s underlying reason for spotlighting Mark Consuelos’ failure was that he also was called out by his wife for a terrible post and frantically searched for someone who did it worse. On Mother’s Day, his wife, Molly McNearney, was underwhelmed by Jimmy’s choice of photos for his post to honor her. Although he carefully chose a photo displaying his wife, children, and dog, Molly couldn’t believe he posted a photo of her in bed. Instead, she thought he should have included a snap that shows her when she feels most beautiful. Likewise, she harassed him for referring to her as “the lady in the glasses” as if they wouldn’t know it was her. While scrambling to prove his post wasn’t that bad, he came across Mark’s and quickly shifted the criticism to how much worse it could have been.
Kelly Ripa Was Happy To Join In
When Jimmy Kimmel brought it up on Live With Kelly And Mark, Kelly Ripa was more than willing to tag team Mark. Just the mention of the Mother’s Day post had Kelly ready to spill her thoughts about the lack of effort. She said, “I was very irritated by this photo…I’m not Mark’s mom, so I get it…” Then she lets him have it by piling on her feelings about the inadequacy. She says, “He finds a photo of 150 years ago. We are both at a Western amusement park in Arizona. It’s 400 degrees. We are sweating. We are clinging to each other because we are so dehydrated.”
In the Instagram comments, Jimmy Kimmel jumps on board. Unmistakably, he was poking fun at Mark for taking the easy road and not sending separate messages to honor his mom and wife. Jimmy nods to his flounder being advantageous, “Thank you, Mark…it worked out well for me.” But the roast was all in good fun between good friends. Additionally, Jimmy’s comments didn’t phase Mark. He took the joke in stride.
