Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos Reveal Freaky Bedtime Ritual
Live hosts Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos revealed some of the intimate details about their bedtime routine on Wednesday’s episode. The couple spoke with the audience about how, as they have aged, their bedtime rituals have gotten longer and more complex.
Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos Open Up About Their Routine
Mark Consuelos started the conversation by talking about the nasal strips that he was trying out. He said he is using them to see if they help with his snoring. His wife Kelly Ripa then started to joke about her own nighttime ritual, which includes endless night creams and a retainer for her teeth.
The couple has been married for nearly 30 years. They joked about how they used to look “sexy” when they went to bed at the end of the day.
“It’s great because the two of us, we come here to work and we’re like, ‘Oh, look at you, look at you.’ Because last night when we gave each other a kiss goodnight, I had my retainer in and I had all my creams on — like, I’m slimy,” Kelly Ripa laughed. “When I go to bed, you can slip right off me. I had my creams on and I had my retainer in. And then he’s got his nasal magnets on.”
Kelly then suggested that they do a taped piece about getting ready for bed. “Because it is, and I don’t want to brag, pretty much the least sexy thing I’ve ever seen. I’m not kidding, we used to be like, fairly…” Mark Consuelos finished her statement, “Hot?”
She agreed, saying, “Not the sexiest people, but we were hot for each other and things looked hotter.” Then Kelly said that she is now reminded of her parents when they’re preparing for bed at night.
The Live Hosts Are Still In Love After Nearly 30 Years
Despite their less-than-sexy bedtime routines, there has been no love lost between Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.
In fact, the couple recently traveled to Las Vegas to get an early start on celebrating their 28th wedding anniversary. Kelly and Mark eloped on May 1, 1996, and got hitched in a wedding chapel in Vegas.
They visited The Chapel of the Bells and recreated their wedding photo. Kelly Ripa described the day as “romantic.” The snapshot showed Mark in an all-black suit with a white dress shirt. Kelly sported a satin blue-green dress. The Live host shared the photo to Instagram along with the original that they were attempting to recreate.

“We cherish those memories, still to this day. It’s been 28 years and we still can remember every minute of that wedding,” she told People. “And I mean, it was really minutes. It was like two minutes!”
