Duggar Family Member Says Josh Won’t Change Despite Prison
Counting On alum Josh Duggar is currently serving his 13-year prison sentence at FCI Seagoville Federal Prison in Texas. The 36-year-old was arrested on April 29, 2021, for CSAM. He was found guilty of all charges on December 9, 2021. Since then, members of the Duggar family have begun to have different opinions about Josh’s arrest.
Some were glad about the charges, while others continued to defend him, such as Jim Bob, Michelle, and Anna. However, one family member thinks that Josh will continue to show his immoral behavior even after his imprisonment. Keep reading to see who it was.
Counting On: Amy Duggar Opens Up About Josh & Anna
Amy recently had an interview with Josh and Anna. According to the former Counting On star, she hopes that Josh will suffer from “torture” in jail. She also said that the oldest Duggar child deserves every second behind bars. Amy also expressed her frustration and wished that he’d make another mistake, which could lead to more jail time.
Amy even opened up about how Anna seemed “really mad” at her. During a sad family event, the two crossed paths. Amy wanted to have a conversation with Anna. But Anna wanted “space,” showing no interest in talking to her at all.
Amy Says Josh Won’t Change Despite Prison
During the same interview, Amy Duggar King opened up about how Josh may never change after spending years in jail. “I don’t believe that someone with that kind of disorder can change. I really truly don’t think that is something that can be medically fixed,” the Counting On alum said, adding that it’s a “generational thing.”
Amy also wants Josh to stay behind bars for much longer so he “can’t hurt children” and get back to his immoral activities. The Duggar cousin also said that she hasn’t talked with Josh for quite some time and she has no plans to do so. “When you just cross those evil lines like that, there is no coming back. I just think there’s no coming back,” she added.
Counting On: Josh Duggar Continues To Commit Crime In Jail?
Josh has been taking extra steps in the hopes of overturning his case. In February, his legal team filed a certiorari to the Supreme Court, which is a request to have a higher court review a decision made by a lower court. However, some people think Josh and Jim Bob Duggar are just wasting money at this point.
The Counting On alum also got into trouble after he was allegedly caught with a contraband phone, leading to a two-month extension of his sentence. It was also reported that Josh Duggar’s prison cell now has a new warden who threatens to punish everyone if one inmate is caught with contraband.
