Josh Duggar probably gets used to prison life after spending two Christmases behind bars at Seagoville FCI. However, he possibly feels lonely during the festive season. Reportedly,  his mom and dad don’t visit him at all. If his final petition to the Supreme Court ends up turned down, he won’t get a retrial. So, many more Christmases could happen in lockup.

Josh Duggar’s Bleak First Christmas Behind Bars

In 2021, before his sentencing for possessing videos of minors being abused, the former TLC star spent Christmas in Washington County jail. Kept in solitary confinement for his own safety, he enjoyed things like oatmeal. Oh, and a sausage patty along with a fortified orange drink. In 2022, he spent his first Christmas in the federal detention FCI facility in Texas. There, things seemed a bit better.

Josh Duggar spent Christmas in 2022 enjoying vastly better cuisine with ham and chicken, side dishes, and more to choose from. Additionally, music provided some entertainment. Meanwhile, board games and a holiday pack of treats arrived. Still, not being with his family must have made the 19 Kids and Counting alum feel nostalgic for the Ugly Sweater Party back home.

Lonely Third Christmas For The 19 Kids & Counting Alum?

In 2023, once again, it was reported that the prison made arrangements for inmates to enjoy a decent meal and some entertainment. Via information from Seagoville, it was learned that apart from good food, there would be recreation like frisbee throws, putt-putt golf, bowling, cornhole toss, a  soccer shootout, and more. However, is that enough to detract from the pain of missing your family?

According to a source who spoke with InTouch Weekly, visitors didn’t line up to see Josh Duggar. Citing their source, the outlet wrote:

Jim Bob and Michelle don’t ever come, and his sisters don’t want to see him. Josh is the family pariah now, shunned and scorned. It’s dawning on him that he’ll be stuck there for the entire term, [and] Josh has been threatened and verbally abused by inmates and staff. It’s a brutal place.

Apparently, the 19 Kids and Counting star who lost his final appeal in the lower courts got a visit from his wife, Anna. However, it seems that things became less than rosy between them once he started his prison sentence. So, even if she went, it might not have been a happy reunion. In fact, many TLC fans wonder why she can’t seem to move on from him.
