‘Live’ Kelly Ripa & Mark Reflect On Insane ABC Exec Decision
Live with Kelly and Mark hosts, Kelly Ripa and her husband Mark Consuelos have been co-hosting the ABC morning talk show for a year, and they think that the executives lost their minds. Live with Kelly and Mark Fans Didn’t Take To Mark Consuelos
Before he joined his wife as a permanent co-host, ABC fans had seen him plenty of times on the morning talk show. However, when he came in full-time, he seemed ill at ease and a bit awkward on the set. In fact, a year ago, ABC fans felt that they lacked chemistry. So, some people thought it would never work out with a husband and wife team on the show.
Some Live with Kelly and Mark fans thought that they saw some red flags with Mark Consuelos co-hosting with Kelly Ripa. However, that came because believe it or not, some people didn’t know they were married. He finally settled in and most people got used to them together. However, the hosts think that the execs took a leap of faith that made them wonder about their sanity.

Live Kelly Ripa & Mark Consuelos Felt Execs Lost Their Minds
Last year, Kelly spoke about them co-hosting together, and she claimed that it was a “terrible idea.” This week, she raised the subject with her husband again, and they agreed that they thought it was insane. That came a few days ago when they got together on her Let’s Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa podcast.
Mark talked about the difference between acting and being on a live show. Additionally, he mentioned the Stump Mark game segment on the show. However, neither of them thought that it was a great idea for them to work together on the morning talk show. At least, initially. Mark said:
So, when they asked me, we both said, ‘No, this is insane. We can’t do this.” I’m like, ‘No, you know, no.’ The answer was no, but we’ll talk about it, but just kind of try to get them off our back a little.
One of the main reasons why they decided, insane execs or not, that he would try it, lay in his hectic schedule filming for Riverdale. You might remember how he couldn’t always get home. And when he did, it was over in a flash and he was gone again. So, for now, he’s happy enough where he is. Also, he keeps his hand in acting with The Girls on the Bus on Max.
