Gerry Turner, Theresa Nist’s Families Never Really Came Together?
Gerry Turner felt so strongly about Theresa Nist on The Golden Bachelor that he went to her hometown to meet her daughter Jen and extended family. In turn, Theresa met his daughters in Costa Rica shortly before he made his final decision.
He chose to propose to Theresa Nist and they planned their wedding, which aired live on ABC in January. But newlywed bliss didn’t last long. The Golden Bachelor couple announced their divorce just three months later. But was there a subtle sign that fans may have missed?
The blended family never blended much over the holidays. Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner spent both Thanksgiving and Christmas apart with their respective families in New Jersey and Indiana. The families did, however, come together days before the divorce announcement to tape an upcoming episode of Family Feud. It’s unclear if the episode will be scrapped amid the split.
Jen Woolston Speaks Out About Gerry Turner
Jen Woolston showed nothing but support for her mother finding love on reality TV. Now that the marriage is over, how is she feeling about the man who was briefly her stepfather?
Jen took to Instagram days after the split to share her thoughts about Gerry Turner. “I had only the loveliest experiences being with Gerry and his family and I will hold the days we were officially family in my heart forever, and will think of them as family always,” she captioned a photo of the entire Nist/Turner family at the Golden Wedding.
