Chance The Rapper Shocks Fans With A Capella Performance
Chance the Rapper has been teasing new music recently, but it has been over a year since he last released anything. However, his most recent a capella sneak peek has fans craving more. Here is everything you need to know about his new music, plus a look at the jaw-dropping a capella performance.
The Voice Is Keeping Chance Busy
Chance has been having an amazing season on The Voice. In February, he opened up about how Season 25 differs from when he first appeared on the competition show in Season 23.
”Last season I was really intent on judging based on the round, right?” he said. ‘”Cause it’s like, you’re in the moment, this is the performance you gave regardless of how well it went in rehearsal, in green room… but also, that’s not the way that the real industry works.”
The Voice coach continued, ”There are really big moments, but there are a ton of moments. And if you were really judged and critiqued off of singular moments, then we wouldn’t have careers.” He added that this season he is more interested in working with the artists to create those big moments and give them platforms where they can grow.
Although being a coach on The Voice keeps him busy, Chance has still been working on music. He has regularly released singles and new music over the last few years. since his last new solo album The Big Day was released in 2019.
Chance The Rapper Shares Preview Of New Music
On Friday, April 12 Chance the Rapper shared a preview of some new music he’s been working on to Instagram. The clip showed The Voice coach sitting on a stool, snapping his fingers. Then he starts singing without accompaniment.
The video highlights his soothing, raw-sounding voice, and the acoustics in the room do him justice. Apparently, the video is a sneak peek of a song he’s going to sing at an upcoming concert in his hometown, Chicago.
“I’m singing some new songs at the show tmw night at my new venue @ramovachicago . All proceeds to @socialworks_chi,” The Voice coach wrote in the caption.

Fans flocked to the comment section to show love for Chance the Rapper’s talent. “Okay fine! I’ll fill up my tank and get there,” one person joked about needing to get to the concert in Chicago.
Another fan wrote, “This album will be a classic. Chance is an artist who WAITED until his art was the way HE wanted it.” A third gushed over the performance, “Chance is awesome at everything he does. Singer, producer, The Voice coach, LOVE THE SONG.”
In addition to performing right now, Chance the Rapper is also a coach on The Voice. Season 25 is currently airing on NBC, with new episodes airing on Mondays at 8 p.m. EST.
