The Voice Carson Daly Shares Shocking Bedroom Secrets

Carson Daly has been a hosting staple dating back to his MTV TRL days. He has since moved on to hosting The Voice, which he has done since the show’s inception. Daly has become incredibly close to former coach, Blake Shelton who left after Season 23. They were so close, in fact, that Daly officiated Blake’s wedding to Gwen Stefani. The two men even started a show based on friendly but silly bar games called Barmageddon which airs on USA. Though he is a very busy man, with The Voice, Barmageddon, and The TODAY Show, he also has a family at home.

Carson Daly explained that he and his wife sleep on separate beds a handful of nights per week and they “both secretly love it.” They call it a “sleep divorce.” He went on to add:

“The object is to stay together. That’s what we’d like to do. And so reverse engineering that, it’s like — by any means necessary, for the two of us, [we want to] still be in a relationship when we’re dying. It’s been good for us. We don’t do it all the time, but a couple of days during the week — especially if I want to watch an Islanders hockey game kind of later at night — I go into the guest room, she retires upstairs to read her book or watch a show.”

This is something that works for Carson Daly and Siri Pinter therefore he highly recommends it to other couples. It all started five years ago when Siri was expecting their fourth child, daughter Goldie, essentially due to a space issue. Back in 2020, Carson opened up to them initially trying to find a resolution:

“We’re both pretty good-sized humans and it just wasn’t really working when she was in her third trimester, and I also have sleep apnea, which is very sexy for the ladies out there, I’m sure. She couldn’t get comfortable, so we were like a commercial you would see, kicking each other and just not sleeping.”

That was when they realized that a “sleep divorce” was what they needed to have a restful sleep. However, one thing that brings the whole family together is cooking. Everyone gets in on the fun so even though they may be apart at night, they can come connect as a whole for breakfast.

What do you think of sleeping separately a few nights a week? Would you enjoy this? Let us know and watch The Voice on NBC and streaming on Peacock.
