Unfortunately, she just had to release a short video about online impersonators. Theresa shows a bunch of false accounts that were “fraudulent.” She went on to explain that she does not contact people nor does she charge anyone for their readings. The reality star went on to reiterate that if someone receives a message asking for money for a reading, that is not her. To ensure fans are getting the real Theresa is via her fan club which she led followers to. She also gave a complete breakdown in the caption alongside the video so that followers could best understand what she was saying.

So, what was the reaction from Theresa Caputo’s fans after seeing and hearing all of this?

  • People have nothing better to do! Ugh, I feel bad for you and others that are having this happen to. I also feel sorry to the people who actually think it’s you. Ugh!
  • Thanks for sending this. I keep getting requests
  • Yes I have seen many fraudulent accounts in your name and I report them.

How Could This Happen?

Many of her followers were upset that these scammers were using Theresa Caputo’s grandchild in their profile photo. They thought that was awful. More so, it seemed that many had already received these requests but were reporting them. Therefore, it shows what a strong community she has built so they can spot the bad guys. Unfortunately, not everyone is so quick and some will get scammed. It does seem that many knew what to do before Theresa even said anything so that is a positive.

Are you happy that Theresa came out and let her followers know what was going on? Let us know your thoughts and watch Raising Spirits Thursdays on Lifetime.
