‘Live’ Mark Consuelos Has Accident, Suffers Knife Injury

Live Mark Consuelos Has Been Injured In The Past

Live With Kelly and Mark brings a lot of banter, but there are also discussions about injuries. For example, the dad of three adult kids talked on the Live ABC show about injuring his finger back in September last year. While Kelly Ripa mocked him a bit, his volleyball injury must have hurt a lot.

In December last year, Mark Consuelos stumbled on the set while doing a segment on holiday toys for children. The Live with Kelly and Mark co-host played with a Drench toy. When he pulled the tab, it squirted liquid right into his eye, making him stagger a bit.  He actually took a bit of time to recover from it. But this time, the ABC talk show co-host was hurt by a knife.

Live With Kelly And Mark Co-Host Injured By A Knife

Kelly Ripa and her co-host learned how to make some nice-looking sauces with Chef Eric Ripert during a segment of Live’s Cooking School. The first sauce worked out fine, and Kelly tasted it, agreeing it was delicious. However, the second sauce involved the participation of the ABC hosts.

Mark Consuelos was particularly keen on learning more. So, the lesson started. Kelly Ripa started cutting some onions, but she felt that her husband was better with a knife. So, Eric Ripert demonstrated safe ways to chop them. While Kelly felt afraid that she might “cut [her] fingers off,” Mark asked to do it, saying, “Let me try.” Unfortunately, the Live with Kelly and Mark co-host sliced his hand.

Just seconds before he did that, Eric had said:

Don’t cut yourself, please, because [Michael] Gelman is looking at me

Kelly Ripa asked Mark if he was “bleeding,” and he said that he thought he’d left some “nail clippings behind.” Luckily, it wasn’t worse, because Kelly Ripa handed him a small towel and he just dabbed at his fingers before setting it aside. Additionally, Entertainment Weekly reached out and the outlet was assured that Mark Consuelos is okay.
