Kelly Makes NSFW Comment On Air

Kelly Ripa is known for taking things a little too far on the air from time to time. As the main host of Live with Kelly and Mark, Kelly guides the atmosphere on the show and has done so for decades.

And oftentimes, that atmosphere gets a little raunchy and NSFW. Recently, Kelly once again scandalized fans when she made an adult-themed observation about a memory she shares with her husband and co-host, Mark Consuelos. On September 1, Mark and Kelly reminisced about a time when they went for a photoshoot. The Sun reports that at the time, Kelly was asked if she was having more kids. And she did indeed give birth to her son, Joaquin, not long after the photoshoot in question.

As they recalled the event, Kelly poked fun at her husband in regard to her own breast size. Kelly reminded her husband playfully, “I, you know, had boobs.” She made gestures with her hands to show the various-sized breasts she sported over the years. Mark laughed as he recalled the photoshoot and her pregnancy-enhanced breasts at the time. He agreed that her chest size has changed over the years, explaining to the audience, “because of all the kids.”

Live: Kelly Ripa’s Husband Mark Consuelos Reveals What Happened With Injury

Kelly Ripa brought out some more of that off-color humor this week as she explained an injury that Mark Consuelos sustained to his finger.

Mark revealed to the audience that he had a splint on his finger, saying, “I had a major injury here.” Kelly sarcastically said, “Oh, we forgot that Mark had a major injury.”  Mark laughing called the injury “embarrassing.” He then explained, “I was playing beach volleyball and I went to set a ball, and I feel like it hit my finger just a little strange, and I continue on, and my finger, at the tip, was at a right angle and it just stayed like that.”

A smirking Kelly slipped in a jab, asking, “Just the tip?” Laughing, Mark confirmed, “Just the tip.” Kelly winked at the audience, adding, “That’s for you girls in the front row.” Mark tried to steer the story back on track and added, “I tried to straighten it out.” Kelly immediately turned the story dirty again, repeating, “You tried to self-straighten.”  Mark laughingly continued, “It wouldn’t. It would just go back to half-mast every time.” The audience roared laughing at this point, and Kelly cracked a smile of her own; “All of this is a metaphor.”

Metaphor or not, Mark’s injury is very real. He told the audience he has a “mallet finger” and will have to keep his finger cast for 8 weeks.

  1. Thank goodness Mark is finally where he should’ve been years ago – cohosting. I didn’t like Michael Strahan or Ryan. Regis was a one of a kid character. Those two combined don’t add up to one Regis! Finally I can watch the show any time now since Mark is on. I was an AMC fan from way back. I remember they got married around the same time as Edmund & Maria (John Callahan, deceased, and Eva LaRue) but their marriage didn’t last. I like Kelly’s advice to elope and not renew vows. The former is a colossal waste of money and creates debt and the latter does seem to be the kiss of death for a marriage. I have 2 digits with messed up tips. One was a spiral fracture and it has a permanent dip. The other one was smashed as a kid when my brother dropped his end of a cement birdbath without warning me. (We were tasked with getting it to the curb.) I didn’t know it had a name, but it does look like a mallet finger. Arthritis got in the joint so it will never go up. I liked the discussion yesterday about something every couple has to deal with: room temperature. I think they should take turns so they both get their way. I think Kelly should let Mark take the lead more often bcuz she almost stutters – uh, uh, um, so… Stephen Colbert does that too. Mark doesn’t do that from what I’ve heard. Kelly was overbearing for weeks. She seems to have backed off a bit, thank goodness!
