Jesse Palmer Addresses Online Bullying

Bachelor Nation is one of the most vocal fan bases. But sometimes, things can go too far, especially with the anonymity of the internet. Bachelor Season 28 contestant Rachel Nance joined host Jesse Palmer on stage at the Women Tell All special. The third-place contestant shared her experience wooing Joey Graziadei. But it wasn’t all champagne and roses.

Rachel got candid about the horrible DMs she received once the show started airing. In a vulnerable moment, she revealed that some Bachelor Nation fans were calling her racist slurs in private messages. The hate only increased when Joey gave her a rose instead of Maria Georgas.

Jesse Palmer directly addressed the audience, admonishing anyone who was trolling the reality TV stars.

At one point, Jesse asked the Bachelor Nation contestants in the studio audience to raise their hands if they had ever received a hateful DM. Many hands shot up, including Golden Bachelor contestants Kathy Swarts and Susan Noles, who were there to share an exciting announcement.

Kaity Biggar took to her Instagram Story to share her experience with trolls. A fan asked her if she had also received hateful messages. Kaity confirmed that she did and shared one example.

“The only reason you’re posting this is to make the handful of pathetic girls just like you jealous. You’re a f**king embarrassing sad excuse for a woman,” the hater wrote in response to a photo Kaity shared of her and Zach Shallcross.

How does Kaity deal with the hate? “I think it’s very safe to say every contestant gets extremely offside messages. It’s all about rolling with the punches and laughing it off,” she said.

Do you think the hate from Bachelor Nation fans to contestants is out of control? Sound off in the comments.
