American Idol fan favorite, Kellie Pickler is finally returning to music and the stage. She has been absent from country music for more than a year now. She took the time off after the sudden and tragic death of her husband, Kyle Jacobs.

Kellie Pickler is the southern sweetheart who stole the hearts of millions of American Idol fans. “Pick Pickler” is what she told everyone during her first appearance on the top-rated competition reality television show. She wowed the judges with her beautiful voice and quirky charm. Viewers of American Idol were also wowed by this blonde dynamo.

Kellie Pickler went on to have a successful career in country music. She toured with Brad Paisley. The “Didn’t You Know How Much I Loved You” singer was nominated for the Academy of Country Music Awards Top Female Vocalist of the Year. Pickler went on to have her own talk show. She even appeared on Dancing With The Stars. She and her husband, Kyle Jacobs, starred in the CMT reality series I Love Kellie Pickler.

About Kyle Jacobs

Kyle Jacobs was a successful country music songwriter, producer and singer. He and Kellie Pickler married 2011. They remained married until his suicide in February of last year. He committed suicide in their home where he was found with a self-inflicted shotgun wound. The police found no evidence of foul play and the autopsy revealed there were no drugs in his system.

Kyle Jacobs wrote several great country songs. He wrote “The Dash” which was recorded by American Idol winner Scotty McCreery. Randy Travis recorded “Someone You Never Knew” which written by Jacobs. He also wrote “When The Credits Roll” which was recorded by the “King of Country Music,” George Strait. Kyle Jacobs also wrote songs for Kellie Pickler, including “The Woman I Am.”

Kellie Pickler Returns To The Stage

Kellie Pickler will make her return to the country music stage on April 22, 2024. She will be part of an all-star ensemble of country music singers for Walkin’ After Midnight: The Music of Patsy Cline. This  show at will take place at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee. This special show will be a tribute to the life, music and legacy of country music icon Patsy Cline.

The all-star line-up will include country music megastars Crystal Gayle, who is the great-aunt to current American Idol contestant Emmy Russell as well as Pam Tillis, Wynonna Judd and Tanya Tucker. Hollywood is also turning out for this tribute to Patsy Cline. Rita Wilson, wife of Tom Hanks, and Beverly D’Angelo will be there. Beverly D’Angelo played Patsy Cline in the movie Coal Miner’s Daughter. Oklahoma’s own Kristin Chenowith, a megastar on Broadway, will also be there.

Kellie you are such a beautiful strong woman , my heart is so heavy with sadness for your loss , I remember voting for you to win on American Idol and your beautiful story of how your grand father was raising you and your brother, i always knew you would go far with your talent. i admired you for entertaining our military such courage you have, i am the mom of a retired military son who served 20 years before returning home, im so happy you will be singing again. i pray god will feel your heart with love and happiness. stay strong and know you are loved.
