‘DWTS’ Jenna Johnson’s Baby Son Struggling With Illness
Dancing With The Stars pro Jenna Johnson had a heartbreaking update to share with her fans this week. Her baby son Rome Chmerkovskiy is struggling with an illness at the moment.
Jenna’s husband Val Chmerkovskiy has been away on a work trip, making the situation even more difficult. She shared a short update with her fans on Instagram, letting them know about the situation.

Jenna Johnson Confirms Her Baby Boy Isn’t Feeling Well
DWTS fans felt excited and overjoyed for Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy when they announced they were expecting. For quite some time, Jenna expressed her desire to have children. After giving birth to Rome, she admitted he was their miracle rainbow baby.
Today, Rome Chmerkovskiy is a year old. His parents enjoy sharing updates with their fans on social media and showing how much he’s grown.
But when it comes to professional dancing, Jenna said she wants Rome to make that choice for himself. Having two famous parents definitely comes with a lot of pressure, and she doesn’t want that for the little boy.
Sadly, it seems that baby Rome is struggling with some health issues at the moment.
“Little bit of a rough 24 hours over here. Rome came down with a virus and has been a very sad and snuggly baby,” Jenna shared on her Instagram story earlier in the week. “102.6 fever + hurting tummy. Went to the pediatrician today. Snuggled a lot. But daddy came home from his work trip and seemed to make the day a whole lot brighter!”
The 29-year-old went on to say that nothing hurts her heart more than seeing her baby sad and uncomfortable. To make matters worse, Rome is too little to fully communicate what’s bothering him.

The Chmerkovskiys Are Still Carrying Out Their Work Duties
Dealing with sickness as a first-time parent is undoubtedly frightening. However, Jenna hasn’t shared many updates about Rome’s health since. She did go on to perform with several other professional dancers at the Oscars, so it seems as though the Chmerkovskiy family is still going on about their lives.
Thankfully, Jenna is also incredibly close with her sister-in-law, Peta Murgatroyd. If Jenna needs extra help caring for Rome, she has a village around her. For the time being, fans can follow Jenna on Instagram to keep up with her family.
