Which ‘S.W.A.T.’ Star Could Be Getting Axed In The Final Season?
The news of CBS canceling S.W.A.T. was hard enough on the fans of the hit show and its stars. Now, the news is getting worse. It is possible one of the stars will be getting the ax before the alleged canceled show’s seventh and final season ends.
The Alleged Cancellation Of S.W.A.T.
Sadly, S.W.A.T. was one of the first television shows CBS decided to remove from its impressive lineup. Fans of the megahit show are not happy with the decision. They are hopeful it will not be canceled.
Shemar Moore is also hopeful. He is also not sure that the decision of CBS is their final decision. This could be true if fans of Shemar Moore and S.W.A.T. rally behind him and fight to keep the show going.
This talented actor is no stranger to CBS and its executives who decide which shows will be canceled. He also starred on CBS’s long-running soap opera, The Young And The Restless. Shemar Moore was also a part of the talented ensemble of Criminal Minds which also aired on CBS.
S.W.A.T. Has Been Cancelled Before
This isn’t the first time S.W.A.T. has been cancelled. It was also cancelled during its sixth season last year. Despite that decision by CBS, it came back for another season. It very well could happen again.
S.W.A.T. wouldn’t be the only CBS hit show to live past its cancellation date. In fact, it wouldn’t be the only CBS show starring Shemar Moore to continue after being cancelled. Criminal Minds also went on long after its expected expiration date. Even though it is now longer an CBS, it has found a home on the streaming service, Paramount+. S.W.A.T. could very do the same thing.
Who Could Be Leaving The Show?
Based on what was last seen on the CBS crime drama, it appears Dominique Luca might be getting killed off. The character had been shot at least three times. The teaser which recently aired showed several characters at the hospital and they were not getting good news. Because S.W.A.T. is currently on hiatus, but will be returning shortly, fans will have to wait to find out if Dominique Luca survives his multiple gunshot wounds.
Dominique Luca is a fan favorite. So is the actor, Kenny Johnson, who portrays him. Kenny Johnson also starred in Saving Grace. He was also a part of the megahit show Sons Of Anarchy. Johnson has also been seen on Bates Motel and Law And Order: Special Victims Unit.
