‘Americas Got Talent’ Big Changes For Season 19
Finally, America’s Got Talent is returning to screens, and with it new changes for Season 19. Unmistakably, Season 18 was full of fun and talent that kept America entertained. But now, Season 19 promises more twists and turns to engage the audience throughout the season.
America’s Got Talent Season 18 Winners Surprise Judges
Fans will remember Season 18 was jam-packed with acts like Adrian Stoica and his dog Hurricane. Throughout the season, the trainer and his border collie won the hearts of the audience. Additionally, from their audition performing tricks to Better When I’m Dancing by Meghan Trainor to the finale act of Queen’s Crazy Little Thing Called Love they impressed. They took the America’s Got Talent winnings of the one million dollar prize money during the two-night finale. However, Simon Cowell admitted that each judge picked a winner, and not a single one of them got it right. “It was just like everyone did as good as you could do. And I said to someone earlier about the level of talent we’re seeing over the years, the creativity, it’s brilliant to watch.”
Simon Cowell Admits Being Surprised By America’s Got Talent Season 18 Outcome
Admittedly, Simon Cowell says he was a bit surprised with the outcome of America’s Got Talent Season 18. Adding, “You can’t please everyone — there were people who were disappointed, people who were surprised, but it’s a public vote, and their act last night was amazing.” Further stating, “So a bit of a surprise, but I’m happy. I would’ve been happy with anyone winning from last night if I’m being honest with you.” Likewise, Simon mentions through the years he has learned he is often surprised by the results. Although he wasn’t expecting them to win he says, “The dog is so adorable.” Then agrees, “And I think that was pretty amazing. It was like a happy ending.”
America’s Got Talent Season 19 Is Ready To Go
But Season 19 is right around the corner! Returning on May 28, America’s Got Talent brings fans “some of the wildest acts to ever grace the AGT stage,” per the show’s description. Notably, promising fans an exciting ride for the upcoming debut. Additionally, live shows will then kick off on August 13 at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium. Furthermore, results shows are on the schedule for Wednesday nights.
Season 19 Promises New Changes
While talking with People, Simon Cowell teases some changes for the upcoming season. During America’s Got Talent Season 19, Simon Cowell, Sofia Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel will return as judges. But in a new twist, each judge will receive two Golden Buzzers. Additionally, the host, Terry Crews, will keep his one steal tucked in the pocket for his choice to be the winning act. Notably, this brings the total of Golden Buzzers to nine available this season. Furthermore, as usual, each buzzer holds the power to send an act straight to the live shows. According to People, Simon expressed, “In the first two days we’ve used more Golden Buzzers than we’ve ever used – that’s got to be a good sign!” No doubt, there will be other tricks up the AGT producers’ sleeves as well.
America’s Got Talent season 19 will premiere on Tuesday, May 28 at 7 p.m. CST on NBC.
