‘Mama June’ Fans Want Alana & Pumpkin To Set A Better Example

Lauryn ‘Pumpkin’ Efird Helped Alana But She’s No Saint?

When Alana Thomspon was still a young teen, she went to live with her big sister after her mom ran off with Geno. While that was commendable of Josh and his wife to take her in, there were some shortcomings as far as WeTV fans were concerned. For example, a post revealed the kid cussing during a video showing a Facebook Live Pearl Watch Party called, Pumpkin Shuckin’.

In defense of Pumpkin Efird, she did flip out on her sister when Honey Boo Boo pretended to snort cocaine on her livestream. Still, that didn’t stop a barrage of bad language from both of June Shannon’s kids as time went by. Many place blame on June Shannon for her past behaviors around her children. Fans really hope Lauryn and Alana Thompson can change their behavior but many fear it won’t happen.

Mama June Fan Wants A Better Example Set By Alana Thompson

Recently, the WeTV show revealed Honey Boo Boo and her sister going on a trip to Colorado. Before that, they saw June Shannon and Justin dining out with his mom. Irritated by what seemed to be bad manners, an OP who posted on Reddit said:

I love the pumpkin and fam but…These ladies have got to learn how to say thank you to service people. I noticed it when June was having breakfast with her husband and MIL. I can understand that it starts from there. Alanna (sic) and Pumkpin you ladies should know better. This is my rant i just had to say this because it happened again when they went to the coffee shop in Colorado.

The idea of Pumpkin Efird and her sister suddenly becoming exemplary role models seemed to strike some Mama June: Family Crisis fans as incredible. Here are a few responses from the comments section:

  • Know better?!! They are products of their dysfunctional life-long environment. Most of us are taught as children, please, thank you, excuse me, etc… they were taught fend for your damn selves figure it out and good frickin luck…
  • Manners? This group? The family with the mother who calls all her daughters ‘b-tch’ and talks about how she ‘misses that b-tch’ in reference to her dead daughter? Don’t hold your breath. Never gonna happen.

Was Pumpkin Unfairly Accused?

Others who watched the episode with captions on stood up and defended Pumpkin Efird. More than one person noticed that although it was quiet, Alana’s sister did thank people. One commenter said,

I literally just got done watching the Colorado episode not 5 min ago and sorry but pumpkin did say thank you. When she brought her food AND when she said ladies let me know if you need extra syrup, gravy or anything.Pumpkin said it pretty quietly but I watch with CC on so I could see her say it and read it.

Meanwhile, another person remarked, “Alana said thank you very much when calling about apartment inquiries even said thank you when [they were] turned down for [the] apartment. 🥺 and pumpkin said thank you at the outdoor eatery twice!!!”
