‘LPBW’ Amy Roloff & Chris Marek Fake Drama On Show?
Chris Marek married Amy Roloff, and now they are back for another season of Little People, Big World, fans accuse them of hamming it up for the cameras. Chris took a dip in popularity recently, but there’s more to it because Matt Roloff and Caryn Chandler talk about their own wedding. Naturally, there’s some tension evident between the women.
Chris Marek & Matt Roloff Bonded
When Matt was working on preparations for Amy’s wedding, he and Chris bonded. At the time, TLC fans thought it seemed quite sweet. However, Matt’s ex didn’t like it. For several seasons now, she’s harped on at her husband about it. Unfortunately for both Caryn and Amy, their respective men being besties throws them together a lot, and it seems awkward. But this time around, fans think it’s all a bit fake.
Chris Marek, once popular, fell from grace with Little People Big World fans. That came after two significant events. One was when he started working the pumpkin season, and the other was when Matt Roloff surprised Amy Roloff by announcing that she would get the farm if he died. And now, a lot of people believe that Chris will do anything to stay on the payroll of TLC, like fake it for the cameras.

On Reddit, an OP seemed confused about how many fans of Little People, Big World turned on Chris. They said in their caption:
I’m surprised by all of the Chris hate because it is so obvious to me that Chris AND Amy are playing to the camera and Amy is most definitely in on it guys. They are trying to drum up interest for a show with just the adults sans Zach and Tori and company. This is all scripted to make it look dramatic and contentious. We all know how Amy is and if she was truly offended by or not in favor of Matt and Chris’s hijinks, he wouldn’t be involved. You can tell by their banter about it that it is not that serious and they are in on it together. TLC thinks that the only way we will watch just the adults is if they have some sort of dramatic interactions. Scripted.

In the comments, many TLC fans agreed that it might not only be Chris Marek and Amy Roloff trying to add drama to keep the show going. Meanwhile, others felt that Chris had no option but to go along with Amy. Perhaps that same thing goes for Matt Roloff?

The post certainly got the debate going about Little People, Big World. Here are some comments by TLC fans:
- if Chris refused to interact like how Amy does, what would this show be this season?! Like it’s already boring enough as it is. imagine if Chris refused to interact with Matt and Caryn.
- They needed his involvement for the hook because Amy probably has set some boundaries on how and when she will be face to face with the cheaters. I honestly feel that he is doing this for her and with her. I’ve noticed that Amy is never really upset with his snarking on her with Matt. He is careful not to say anything she would truly find offensive and if you watch carefully he gives it back to Matt in spades just cleverly done.
- I think if Amy disliked Matt as much as she acts like she does she wouldn’t have had her and Chris’ wedding at the farm. Also, if Chris were my husband, he would not be hanging out with Matt. And, I think Amy is desperate for Chris to love her and I think he’s playing her.
- Amy and Chris know that signing a contract to continue this show = a bunch of forced/staged interaction with Matt. She wants the checks just as much as Matt, so here we are watching some pretend storylines about “coming to see Matt’s house” and “Chris being Matt’s best man”. Hardy har har (but for some reason I keep watching)
