‘WOF’ Fans Rag On Player For Deceiving Clothing Choice
During a recent episode of Wheel Of Fortune, Pat Sajak was business as usual. But fans mistook one player for something she isn’t. Of course, they were quick to call out the phenomenon on social media.
WOF Pat Sajak Introduces Mollie
While it may be easy to say marketing has everyone brainwashed, seemingly brand management is working in this case. On Wheel Of Fortune fans quickly picked up on a striking similarity between one contestant’s outfit and a highly recognizable brand. When Pat Sajak began his normal contestant introductions, everything was going as usual. Notably, Mollie, a CrossFit instructor from Minnesota, was smiling big with a bubbly personality. Then Pat mentions she is a “fitness guru.” Then Mollie tells the host, “I love hyping up my athletes in the gym.” Additionally, she discusses how she can deadlift an impressive 360 pounds. In like fashion, Pat jokes, “Wow if I lifted 360 pounds, I’d be dead too!”
WOF Fans Quickly Notice A Correlation
But the Internet wasn’t seemingly as impressed by Mollie’s heavy lifting. During the Wheel Of Fortune introductions, social media was active, but not about Mollie’s talents. Instead, Mollie got ragged on for her deceiving clothing choice. While it was unintentional, she wore a cobalt blue vest that unmistakably resembled Walmart branding. Unfortunately, with the WOF nametag on display, the outfit made her look like she had strong ties to the easily recognizable chain.
Fans Rag On Mollie’s Clothing Choice
Undoubtedly, WOF fans were quick to point out the observance of Mollie’s wardrobe choice. Unfortunately, her choice of clothing was a clear distraction for viewers. Although there would be nothing wrong with Mollie working at Walmart, it doesn’t seem to be the vibe she was going for when she chose her outfit.
- “This lady on Wheel of Fortune looks like she’s wearing a Walmart vest.”
- “Was just thinking that!”
- “This Wheel of Fortune contestant ran to the studio straight from her job at WalMart.”
- “She didn’t have time to go home and change.”
WOF Fans Can Easily Spot Likeness
Sadly, Mollie’s fate ended up with $0 after it had been up to $1000. Although Mollie didn’t take home the prize during Wheel Of Fortune, she gave fans plenty to talk about. However, Walmart is highly recognized because it employs over 2.1 million associates across the world. Likewise, fans have made other correlations about contestants’ outfits in the past. Previously, a contestant was likened to the fictional holiday character Yukon Cornelius. Additionally, last season, another player was thought to resemble the Six Flags guy.
Did Mollie’s outfit make you think of Walmart? Do you think the correlations WOF fans have made are funny? Do you think Mollie regrets choosing cobalt blue? Drop your comments in the section below.
