General Hospital fans are reacting to Jason Morgan’s backstory from where he has been the last two years. He was said to be deceased after a tunnel collapse. GH Fans React To Jason Morgan’s Backstory
On Thursday, March 14th, 2024, General Hospital fans learned where Jason Morgan has been for the last two years. Steve Burton was let go from the soap opera in 2021 for not going along with the vaccine mandate. Now, he has returned to his iconic role and fans are thrilled. Initially, Jason’s story was supposed to go very differently but then the show lost their head writers. With the new ones, they opted to give Jason a full story as to where he had been for two years when he was actually alive. He made it to a beach where he was greeted by gunmen, imprisoned, and has been tasked to be a “military contractor.”
At the same time, he is working for Jagger Cates and must follow through with his assignments. If he does not, it will be horrid. He was supposed to be there when Sonny Corinthos was shot but he made sure the bullet did not hit him. This is something Carly believed all along but others are not so sure. So, what did fans think of this story and were they excited or did they find it lackluster?

So, they decided to take their directionless Pikeman story that started back in 2022 and give it to Jason since they had no idea what the ending was when they created this mess. Seems on brand. #GH #GeneralHospital

Mixed Feelings
General Hospital fans do not know what to make of this storyline just yet. They want more to the twist but they also do not want Jason Morgan to always protect Carly Corinthos. He has to be doing all of this for something deeper and extremely meaningful, not that she isn’t valuable. As time goes by, more will be told in this ongoing saga and Jason will become more vulnerable with the people he needs to be. Hopefully, he and Sonny will link up again and be the power duo everyone knows and loves.
