Is Sister Wives going to be over amid Garrison Brown’s tragic death? The family has experienced passings and unthinkable moments but nothing like this. Therefore, could this put the brakes on the upcoming season and the show for the foreseeable future? Read on for more details.

Sister Wives Is Show Over Amid Garrison’s Tragic Death?

Since news broke on Tuesday, March 5th, 2024 that Garrison Brown had died, fans have had so many emotions. Garrison was the son of Sister Wives stars Kody and Janelle Brown. Unfortunately, he had a tumultuous relationship with his father for several years and the two were estranged when Garrison passed. It appears that the twenty-five-year-old took his own life in his Arizona home. Ultimately, it was his younger brother, Gabriel Brown who found him, and their mother, Janelle, had told the police Kody and Garrison had never made amends. Fans have taken to Kody’s Instagram to crucify him for his behavior toward his son while he was alive.

They have done the same to his fourth and last remaining wife, Robyn Brown who is being raked over the coals. With all of the tumult and epic sadness that won’t soon go away, is it best for the long-running to show call it quits? A Reddit thread was started to address this. The OP posed this question:

    • There’s been talk amongst each other about how it would be impossible for the show to go on. Can the Brown’s call it quits? Or is the family legally bound to fulfill a contract?

The biggest question is what TLC may force the Browns to do regardless of the situation that they are in right now. Can they even fathom filming with the pain they are experiencing? So, what did fellow Redditors have to say?

  • i hope tlc recognizes that it is inappropriate to continue. they did that with honey boo boo.
  • If TLC and Puddle Monkey tried to enforce a season 20 all Janelle, Kody, Christine, and Gabe have to do is release a statement putting the network on blast for trying to exploit their pain.

Time For It To End

Just from those two statements, it is clear that fans believe Sister Wives has to come to an end. They already have Season 19 filmed but that may be all they can air. Yet, should that even see the light of day or it will be too painful to watch? What else did followers have to say about the show returning?

  • If they air it, I will watch. Sorry if that’s an unpopular opinion. I’m invested and boycotting seems silly.
  • I would still watch it for Janelle’s sake in hopes she can make as much money as possible to be financially secure.
  • Personally don’t know how Janelle, Christine, Meri and the kids would be able to pick up right back up with the filming they have scheduled.

So, some viewers would watch just to support those that they really connected with and care for. Plus, they have watched this family for fourteen years so they cannot help but feel deeply connected to them. The future is unknown but in the present, the pain is very real.

  1. I think they should follow their hearts and do what is right for them. I am so sorry for them all and may God give them peace and comfort 🙏
    MAY HE RIP 🙏

  2. It’s going to hard enough for them to watch season 19 and see Garrison in the film before he passed away. I think maybe put season 20 on hold until the family has ampel time to grieve and come to the realization that Garrison is resting in peace.
