Mykelti Brown Says ‘Sister Wives’ Future Uncertain, Over & Done?
Mykelti Brown Padron is claiming that the future of Sister Wives is uncertain and the show may be over and done. This is a very interesting development given that her mother, Christine Brown, already confirmed that they filmed Season 19. So, has something changed that TLC has not told viewers about? Mykelti Brown Says Sister Wives Future Uncertain, Over & Done?
It seemed like Season 18 should have been the end for Sister Wives. Kody Brown officially lost three of his wives and Christine Brown wed David Woolley. Everyone was moving on and happily, so why keep the show going? Some suggested a spinoff or specials like the Talk Back and Look Back ones that did really well. However, TLC was ready for Season 19 and Christine opened up to ET as to what to expect:
“We’re just going to do it exactly like we would do it in real life. There’s going to be times where we’re in the same room together, and you’ll see in the next season, there’s a few times where we’re in the same room together for the sake of the kids. We’re gonna be cordial because it’s about our kids. We’re going to be adults. We’re going to be mature. And we’re gonna be apprehensive and nervous and not quite sure it’s a good idea, but then you get into it and it’s fine.”
That seemed to be very promising but now, Mykelti Brown Padron is saying something completely opposite. According to The Sun, Mykelti took to her Instagram to let her followers ask her anything. They spanned the spectrum from babies to weight loss. Then, they wanted to know if there would be a Season 19. Mykelti shared that she could not “guarantee” there would be another season of the show.
That’s contradictory to what her mother and even Janelle Brown had said in their joint interview. However, Mykelti did share that she would “assume” there will be another season as she did film the birth of her twin boys for Sister Wives. Therefore, that would be a part of Season 19. She then started to talk about what else would be coming to the show.

Though Mykelti Brown Padron could not guarantee a Season 19 of Sister Wives, she teased more to come. Aside from her twins being born, she alluded to viewers meeting her mother, Christine Brown’s now-husband, David Woolley. More so, she said that Season 20 would likely be the wedding but she may have forgotten there was a whole special around that. So, there could be more from the wedding and the prep that fans have yet to see.
