She talks about her new look and how it is what she wants to wear on her new show. Fans on Reddit talked about the choice of clothing and how it might tie in with her dementia diagnosis.
“I lost my mother to alcohol-related dementia and my MIL has Alzheimer’s. One thing I noticed in the early stages was their desire to wear the same outfit everyday,” one person wrote on Reddit. “I saw a moment of her insecurity when she asked if she could wear her outfit to the Oscars…clearly this is her “comfort” outfit….well, this and a robe I guess.”
Others clearly picked up on the fact that this was Wendy’s new comfort outfit as well. “It was very telling how quickly Wendy lost interest in the Oscars after hearing she couldn’t wear her same outfit,” another fan pointed out, while a third wrote, “She also stated many times that she wanted this to be her outfit if she got a new show.”
