Mella Pet Care is a pet supply product meant to help owners monitor their loved one’s health. The company said it plans to use this opportunity to showcase several of its exciting products and also let people know more about the story of Mella. The company’s website itself explains a bit about the science behind the products.
The biggest product is the Mella thermometers, which use sensor technology and machine learning to accurately measure temperatures from the axillary region. The tech used here is three sensors that create a composite reading that is much more accurate than a regular thermometer reading. As for the machine learning aspects, this uses AI to create an accurate prediction of the pet’s temperature.
Also, an app is used to track and keep a record of the pet’s temperature and it all saves on their smartphones so a pet owner can have it to share with their vets at any time. Also, instead of putting it in a pet’s rectum, it gores instead under the foreleg or hindleg, making it noninvasive.

The thermometers are all available on the website. For vets, the Mella Pro runs $159. This takes the temperature and displays the results in 10 to 15 seconds, It will then connect to the app to send the recorded results to the practice management system. The Mella Home thermometer is for pet owners. Not only does it work with the owner’s app, but it can be set up to send to the vet in real time.
The site also sells accessories. An infrared Ear Sensor runs $20. A Rectal Sensor is $20. There is also a $30 Charging Base. A replaceable Thermometer Body is $50 and an Axillory Sensor is $20. Also for sale on the site is everything from home scales to body scales and tape measures.
