Rena Sofer GH Return Short-Lived?
When actress Rena Sofer left The Bold & The Beautiful in 2022, many soap fans hoped she would return to General Hospital. She played fan-favorite Lois Cerullo from 1993 to 1996.
During those years, Lois was paired with Eddie Maine/Ned Quartermaine, played by Rena Sofer’s real-life ex-husband, Wally Kurth. The characters have a daughter, Brook Lynn.
After a more than 25-year absence from the ABC sudser, GH fans got their wish. In September 2023, news broke that Rena Sofer was returning to General Hospital in her iconic role.
But now, four months later, fans worry that Lois and her portrayer are leaving Port Charles once again. Eagle-eyed viewers noticed on a recent episode that Rena Sofer was no longer listed as a contract player. What does that mean?
According to IMDb, the actress has been dropped to recurring status. However, that doesn’t necessarily mean she’s on her way out. After all, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) needs her mother at her wedding!
ABC has yet to comment on the change in the status.

According to one fan, there’s a perfect role for Rena Sofer in another daytime drama. One fan suggested Days Of Our Lives bring the actress on as a recast Billie Reed.
But she might have some competition. Krista Allen, who played Billie from 1996 to 1999, is between jobs after getting let go from B&B.
