Initially, fans felt happy that Tony Rodgers had gone away. While he seemed good with the boys, Gage and Glenn, Amy found him on the rebound. So, her followers felt worried about constantly finding a different father figure. Her new guy, Kevin isn’t universally disliked, but he certainly cranked up a lot of haters in a short time.

Meanwhile, others just hate the idea of anyone getting close to Amy until she manages her grief over her ex, Michael Halterman. Bear in mind, that they loved each other for a long time.

Kevin has two children and is apparently fighting his ex for custody. While he hit back at haters fast on TikTok, he did assure fans that he intended to look after his girlfriend. As for appearing on the show, he already claimed that he might consider it if Tammy’s sister asks him to.
This week, Reality TitBit reported that a TLC fan suggested they would be happy to see him on the show. However, despite critics assuming Amy Slaton’s boyfriend wanted screen time, he seems a bit reluctant. the outlet cited him as saying:
I’m honestly not sure I would want to do that. I’m leaning towards no unless she wanted me to. I don’t watch her show. I don’t know what half of you [are] talking about.
Well, if he is serious about a long-term relationship with Amy Slaton, perhaps he should watch the show. After all, he might understand her family situation a lot better if he did. And really, if you dated someone with a reality TV show, would you not go and look at it? Even just a little bit? That seems a bit odd to many 1000-Lb Sisters fans.

Not everyone hates Kevin. The outlet also noted that many TLC fans seem to just love seeing Amy Slaton looking genuinely happy. Notably, on 1000-Lb Sisters, she seems constantly unhappy and tearful.
