Steven Gray created The Peep Show, which is a smart birdhouse on Shark Tank. Steven said he has been a birdwatcher his entire life. As a matter of fact, he said he got his love for birdwatching from his dad. That is why he decided to design and conceptualize a birdhouse during COVID-19. His dad came up with a prototype and he ran with it.
The original version by his dad was a regular birdhouse with a sewer inspection camera in it. They would then watch the footage of the baby birds hatching every spring. Now, The Peep Show is a more technologically advanced version of that same idea. It uses a wireless camera to stream the footage from inside the birdhouse to your phone. You can then watch the birds at any time they are in there.
This allows birdwatchers to see birds as they build nests, hatch babies, and feed the baby birds. It is also a stylish design and is made to look similar to an Apple device. It won the Red Dot Award for product design in 2023. Now, Steven wants to get investors so he can move the product out of his house and up his production.
