‘My Big Fat Fabulous Life’ Gets A Reboot?
My Big Fat Fabulous Life went on for years while Whitney Way Thore tried to find a man who would love her enough to stick with her. She also danced and went on trips with her friends. But, many TLC critics think the show ran out of steam. The long-lost half-sister, Angie Burdett entertained fans for a season, but they think the show should end there. However, it looks like a soft reboot comes along instead.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life Bores Critics
Many people decided that they just didn’t like Whitney Way Thore. Oh, she has many followers who idolize her, but in reality, how many times can she fall for a man? How many more silly outfits can the TLC star wear on little outings? In fact, some people think that since Babs passed away, the show should have shut down because it’s boring. Or, simply annoying.
My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans seemed keen on Season 11 because they knew a secret sibling existed. However, they thought it would be about a boy and not a girl that Glenn Thore fathered. Well, it turned out to be Angie, and to Whitney’s horror, at the end of Season 11, Glenn told her he wanted to move to Alabama to live near Angie Burdett and her family for a bit.
TLC Reboots With Angie’s Family?
Whitney Way Thore told her MBFFL fans that Season 12 is happening. Well, with the cliffhanger of Glenn Thore and Alamaba, that seemed obvious. However, fans think that even TLC might be running out of ideas for Whitney. Unless, of course, they bring the rumored son into the show. As that seems unlikely, in the opinion of some folks, MBFFL gets a soft reboot by TLC.
On Reddit, a My Big Fat Fabulous Life fan shared a photo of Glenn Thore with Angie. MBFFL fans already saw via Whitney Way Thore, that they celebrated together when he turned 79. And, both of the sisters shared about a Mardi Gras event. The OP said in the caption:
The Reboot of MBFFL…This is a (soft) reboot… it’s a shame because I think most who watch the show were enticed by the [original] concept. WWT is so sad and pathetic, and only becoming less aspirational (sic) every year. Why won’t TLC REPLACE her with someone who has a life!?…
Whitney Way Thore Has No More Storyline?
The OP also talked about how Whitney shed tons of weight, Hunter Thore found a nice person, and Glenn Thore seems as happy as he can be without Babs. In the comments section, many people agreed that Angie’s family seems to be a soft reboot. And, others agreed that MBFFL already ran its course for Whitney.
- Whitney’s story has played out. I can’t/don’t want to see what she’ll sink to next for a storyline. Let her Dad live out his life with whoever he wants to and let him be happy. Maybe if she gets off of tv, she might find a guy for real.
- I don’t think we’ll get anything else out of Whitney’s life. There’s no more story there. Her family should be backup characters, not carrying her show because she has NOTHING going on.
- That man deserves to kick back, relax, and take time to thoughtfully think about his needs and how he’d like to spend the coming months and years. 💙
- I think this is the perfect time to let the Thores, specifically Whitney, get on with their lives. This is as close to a happy ending as well ever get from her. Time to Recast.
- My real issue is that Whit no longer makes a worthy protagonist. The stunts and fake storylines have to stop. Recast an authentic big girl with a life that people can root for.
