EVP Of Programming Discusses Signed, Sealed, Delivered

Last week at the TCA (Television Critics Association) 2024 Winter Panels, Lisa Hamilton Daly, Hallmark Media EVP of Programming spoke to Variety about a cornucopia of inquiries about the network. Inevitably, there was a question about the future of Signed, Sealed, Delivered. The question that was posed was, “Staying on the series course, you said in 2022 that there was a chance that you could revisit Good Witch or Signed, Sealed, Delivered universes. Is there any movement there?

Lisa Hamilton Daly’s response was only on the latter. “Again, standby…The Signed, Sealed, Delivered fans are all over me every day. I love it, I hear them. As we said today, we really do listen to what our fans want, and when possible, we try to lean into that.” Basically, she acknowledged the POstables and their request for more of this content. However, there was no direct commitment. But, Lisa did say “standby.” This could mean that they are working on something, but cannot reveal anything yet.

Interestingly enough, there is some new information from another source.

Producer Shares Signed, Sealed, Delivered Update With The Hallmark Cafe

Muse Entertainment producer Joel S. Rice recently spoke to The Hallmark Cafe podcast. Rice and Muse Media have been behind so many series such as The Gourmet Detective, and Aurora Teagarden, as well as movies like Catch Me If You Claus. Then, the topic of Signed, Sealed, Delivered came up. He shared his long history with the series, starting from the very beginning.

Crediting writer the “genius” writer Martha Williamson, he revealed that he is “proud of” this series. Williamson had written a pilot when she was on a deal on CBS. When Joel met her, he wanted to “see everything that she had available.” They worked together to turn this series into something that was “right for Hallmark-not that it wasn’t already.” But, they changed some small parts. For example, it was originally two men, and they created Shane as a female.

The timing was perfect because Hallmark Movies & Mysteries was just being established. Joel suggested this series to them for this, to make as movies. This was a perfect fit as it was both mystery and drama.

We’re still very much continuing to develop, with the goal of doing more Signed, Sealed, Delivered. It’s been on the air for 10 years.

He continued to talk about how fans love the characters even more than the mystery.

Therefore, the producer is still developing more Signed, Sealed, Delivered. However, he did not share any sort of timeline. The important detail is that POstables know that they are being heard.

POstables, what would you like to see next in a Hallmark Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie?
