Eric Mabius Shares His Interview ‘Taken Out Of Context’ In Regards To Beloved Hallmark Series

On Tuesday, Signed, Sealed, Delivered star Eric Mabius went to Twitter to apologize to POstables. “Apologies if my interview with EXTRA TODAY was taken out of context in this print article. I was only speaking in the general about another possible movie. Repeat, there is NOTHING definitive as of right now.”

Just recently, Eric was on the Australian show Today Extra. He talked about the upcoming 25th anniversary of Cruel Intentions. Then one of the interviewers discussed Signed, Sealed, Delivered. According to a Twitter post that a POstable shared, with the words “New movie coming,” the exchange went a bit like this. The interviewer pointed out that this Hallmark series has been out since 2013. Then he asked, “Will there be another one?”

As this, Mabius was not even a little coy. He said, “There is.” Furthermore, he continued, “And what a wonderful project. Martha Williamson, the one who created ‘Touched by an Angel,’ has had a great run… It’s just brilliant because it’s a mixture of romance and comedy and heartfelt intent without being syrupy.”

It certainly appears that Eric is confirming another movie. But, he does not state that they are going to make one now, or any such information. The most important detail here is that in his correction post, he made it clear that the series is not canceled. However, there is no upcoming movie to announce “right now.”

Signed, Sealed, Delivered Star Shares That New Movie Is ‘Possible’

When a star confirms that a series is still possible, Hallmark fans should consider that positive news. That is because the stars will tell fans if a series is canceled. This has been particularly true with the various Hallmark mystery series.

Most recently, Kristoffer Polaha and Jill Wagner both confirmed that Mystery 101 was canceled. This was hours after a Sleuther had asked if an eighth movie was on the horizon. Shockingly, the Hallmark social media answer revealed that the two sleuths had solved their last case and that the feel-good network would be premiering some new movies in the upcoming weeks and months.

Previously, Danica McKellar, Kellie Martin, and Alexa PenaVega had all shared on social media that their mysteries were canceled.

While Eric Mabius may have needed to correct the assumption that a new Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie was on the horizon, POstables should feel hopeful that their favorite series will get a new movie. Eventually.

What do you think of this latest development on Hallmark’s popular series?
