Southern Charm star Shep Rose is opening up about his broken marriage dreams. He has always seemed like a player and the type to never settle down. Yet, was there a time when he thought he had found someone who he could be with forever? Read on for more details.

For Shep Rose, he has been the eternal bachelor. There was no growing up for the Southern Charm star so everyone was shocked when he met Taylor Ann Green. He brought her around in Season 7 and was not quite sure what it would become. Then, they were thrown into a pandemic and it may have become more than he had wanted quickly. At the same time, she got along with his friends and was down to travel the world with him. She had an adventurous spirit and he loved that. Unfortunately, Shep also had a wandering eye and was unfaithful.
The two broke up and by Season 9, she had kissed his good friend, Austen Kroll which caused immense drama. However, Shep still kept Taylor hanging by a string with sleepovers and the occasional kiss. At the reunion, he admitted that he had a drinking issue and it seemed like he missed Taylor. She has moved on with a man named Gaston but is she the one who got away? According to Monsters & Critics, he opened up on the When Reality Hits podcast, hosted by Jax Taylor and Brittany Cartwright.
Shep Rose shared with the Vanderpump Rules alums that he had thought about marriage in the past. The lucky lady would have been Taylor, of course. Prior to the ending of their romance, he was “low-key thinking about popping the question.” Admittedly, Shep knows he is to blame for things going south between himself and Taylor. He had gone out when he should have stayed in which led to Taylor being sent some news about what he was doing.
“Then, she was like, you know what, we’ve lost a lot of trust here. And I was just like, OK, well, that’s a bad way to go into such a big, serious, one of the biggest decisions of your life on her behalf as well.”
Moving On
Shep Rose left the Southern Charm reunion and fans felt he only wanted Taylor Ann Green because he could not have her. He then headed to a retreat after saying he had to cut out certain alcohol and just stick to beer. It looked like he was maybe heading to rehab but that did not happen. He has met Taylor’s new man but it went miserably and they will never be together again.
