‘Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay Blackmailed Onto Show?

Vanderpump Rules Scheana Shay Blackmailed Onto Show?
Scheana Shay has been a controversial cast member from the beginning. Stassi Schroeder initially disliked her because she was known as a homewrecker. She had dated Eddie Cibrian when he was married to Brandi Glanville which blew up on RHOBH. Brandi could not come to Lisa Vanderpump’s restaurants without being face-to-face with Scheana. Then, Season 4 of RHOBH officially launched Vanderpump Rules and suddenly, Scheana was a main cast member. As fans have pointed out, she did not initially work at SUR, the restaurant where the show took place. More so, the only person she was friends with was Tom Sandoval and LVP’s daughter, Pandora Todd.
They noted she was the new girl who had come over from LVP’s other restaurant, Villa Blanca. This has prompted a Reddit thread to start with the OP proposing this:
- Scheana has dirt on LVP. Has anyone ever wondered how Scheana is still on the show or even got on there in the first place? When season 1 started, Scheana didn’t even work at SUR and LVP was good friends with Brandy.
Now, they added in the Scheana/Brandi dynamic which could add some drama. Then, they went on to note a lawsuit where Scheana testified for LVP and her husband, Ken Todd. Ultimately, the OP wondered what Scheana Shay had on LVP to get her and keep on the show. Recently, EP, Alex Baskin went on Scheana’s podcast to explain how she got cast for the show. He admitted she was in the group by extension.

They worried about her being a “Disney girl” but, in the end, she was cast on the show. However, Baskin did end up convincing Shay to do Pump Rules despite her being focused on acting.
What Do Fans Believe?
After seeing this Reddit theory that maybe Scheana Shay has something on Lisa Vanderpump, what did fellow Redditors have to say? Did they agree or dispute this?
- Listen to lala or scheana recent pod with Alex baskin. In no way was it Lisa’s decision to have scheana be the main part of the crossover
- They started the show at the same time Scheana started working there, so she’s on the show to kind of follow her as the ‘new girl’ instead of the audience barging in cold on a group of friends.
So, it does not seem that anyone else necessarily believes she holds anything on LVP. Yet, her being the other woman did help with the entertainment factor.
