Caleb Willingham Talks Would-Be Honeymoon With Tammy Slaton
1000-Lb Sisters fans already know that Caleb Willingham and Tammy Slaton weren’t married for long before his tragic death. But even for the short time they did spend together, they seemed to be truly in love and wanted the best for each other.
Since Caleb and Tammy met and married in their rehab facility, they never had the honeymoon they deserved. Tammy left shortly after the wedding and reunited with her family. Sadly, Caleb Willingham was never able to join her.
As this season of 1000-Lb Sisters continues, fans will get to hear Caleb describe his vision for the honeymoon he wished for. Keep reading to get the scoop.
Caleb Willingham wanted to join Tammy and the family in Florida
When 1000-Lb Sisters airs its newest episode on Tuesday, fans will get a chance to see the family enjoy their Florida vacation. However, the trip doesn’t go quite according to plan.
As revealed in a new teaser, Caleb Willingham was supposed to be on the trip with the family. It was supposed to be his and Tammy’s honeymoon and first trip together as a married couple.
“Originally, I was supposed to be on this family trip,” Caleb sadly confessed in the clip. “I was supposed to be dropping this weight and it hurts all the more thinking that this could’ve been like a honeymoon…that was the plan. And here I am, still in rehab.”
“I miss my husband so much and I feel guilty that he can’t be there with us,” Tammy says in her own confessional.
The couple did manage to catch up with one another through video chatting. Tammy expressed how disappointed she was that Caleb couldn’t make it. But he tells her to enjoy herself and assures her that he’s doing all right. He plans on going to a local summer carnival while everyone else is in Florida.
“Of course it ain’t gonna be that big. But to me, it’s a step forward in life, like living and having fun,” Caleb said.
Tragedy struck not long after the Florida trip
Caleb Willingham passed away not long after the Florida trip happened. 1000-Lb Sisters fans know they’re currently viewing events from the summer of 2023. Caleb died on June 30, 2023.
As a result, it seems like Tammy Slaton was unable to spend much time at all with her new husband before he passed away in the rehab facility. The upcoming episodes are going to be incredibly difficult to watch as the show explores his passing and the aftermath.
