Amanda Halterman wasn’t regularly part of 1000-Lb Sisters when it first premiered. But now, most viewers can’t imagine the show without her.
But is it time for her to tone it down a bit?
Online, viewers have started expressing their aggravation with the reality star.
“These people need to quit making Amanda’s head bigger than it already is đŸ¥´” a Redditor posted online this week. They added a screenshot of Amanda on a livestream. Comments on the livestream seemed to praise Amanda, but the Redditor wasn’t having it. They added their own caption over the image, insisting that Amanda is “annoying” and makes every situation about herself.
Other Redditors had mixed reactions to the OP’s post. Some said how much they loved Amanda while others agreed and said they were tired of her.

I think the show and family are Discusting. They say Amy is depressed and crying all the time. Stop the cameras and get her help
I realize this family loves each other. I also realize each of them needs psychiatric counseling and probably anti depressant medication. They do not have the experience to cope with Amy’s depression at this time. PLEASE ask for the name of a reputable doctor (more than a counselor) who can begin to push you in a healthy recovery. The show is getting hard to watch with all this pain. The two babies are already beginning to act out which will affect their physical and mental health.
These people should NEVER have been put on tv. Television is already garbage enough without featuring a bunch of people who have tried to eat themselves to death.
Amy needs to grow up. Amanda has been so patient with her. If she was my sister I would of told Amy to knock the damn crying off months ago or go get some help. She definitely needs some emotional support. She needs to accept the fact that she is a single mom and that’s that!
