April Kirkwood Cancels Trip, Feuding With ASKN Ladies?
Golden Bachelor stars April Kirkwood, Susan Noles, Kathy Swarts, and Nancy Hulkower were planning a trip to St. Martin. Are the ASKN ladies feuding over April cancelling? Keep reading for all the details.
ASKN Bond In Bachelor Mansion
Twenty-two women entered the Bachelor mansion hoping to find love with Gerry Turner. Instead, many of them found friendship with each other.
Four women – April, Susan, Kathy, and Nancy – felt their bond was so strong they gave themselves a nickname: AKSN. They attended the Golden Wedding together and had several other get-togethers since leaving the mansion.
AKSN even planned a relaxing vacation together. Susan, Kathy, and Nancy are currently living their best lives in St. Martin. But April didn’t join them. Why not?
April Cancels On Golden Bachelor Friends
Some Bachelor Nation fans think April is lined up as the first Golden Bachelorette. But that still doesn’t explain her absence from the ASKN girl’s trip to St. Martin. She took to her Instagram to clear up the confusion about why she skipped the trip.
She detailed six reasons why she’s home and not in St. Martin. To start with, she notes that she isn’t retired like some of the other contestants. “I have a job and I can’t keep taking off,” she wrote as reason number one for skipping the trip.
Secondly, a recent roof leak that needs fixing. With the unexpected expense, she bluntly explained that she “can’t afford to go” on vacation right now.
The third reason she gave was a simple, “My dogs are freaking out,” though she didn’t elaborate.
Furthermore, her son’s birthday is this week. She alluded to possible issues in their relationship, explaining, “He doesn’t need to see me on a beach at this time in our relationship.”
She also has plans to go to NY for her granddaughter’s birthday and will need to take off work for that.
April saved the most important reason for last: “6. I’m an adult and I have to make decisions that are best for my first love…not partying but my kids and keeping my house.”

The professional therapist seemed less than thrilled to explain her absence and seemingly took aim at the other three ladies.
Are They Feuding?
The first hint that there’s something amiss in ASKN comes in April’s first sentence on her post. “For all of the folks from Texas and PA that are daunting me about why I am not going to St. Martin…”
Susan is from PA, and Kathy is from Texas.
After listing her reasons, April’s post continued, possibly calling out her friends. “Only three people knew I cancelled and I offered to pay for any fees I might have cost them. So whoever sent you, please respect me and don’t follow me for their dark dealings.”
Her post had one fan wondering, “IS ASKN OVER?”
