Bon Jovi has been a hit band since the early 1980s. Streaming service Hulu dropped a four-part docuseries on April 26. The documentary explores the history of the band, including the shocking moment founding member Richie Sambora abruptly quit the band in 2013.

The documentary featured past and present members of the band, including Richie. Jon Bon Jovi’s wife, Dorothea Hurley, also sat for an interview about her long-time marriage to the frontman.

Dorothea Hurley and Jon Bon Jovi met in high school. The high school sweethearts eloped in Las Vegas in 1989, at the height of the band’s fame. She spoke to the cameras about the backlash the couple faced from fans, the record label and even their own families about their quickie marriage.

Bon Jovi fans were devastated when Dorothea Hurley made an appearance in the Bon Jovi video “Born To Be My Baby.” After all, many fans were hoping to be Mrs. Bon Jovi themselves.

Richie Sambora also addressed his untimely exit and finally apologized to fans for leaving without warning. However, he seems to still be on the outs with Jon Bon Jovi, so fans shouldn’t expect a reunion any time soon.

Dorothea Hurley has been a constant at Jon Bon Jovi’s side for nearly four decades. In fact, the couple sat down with PEOPLE magazine recently for an interview and cover shoot.

She attended previous press engagements for the Hulu documentary. But she was absent from the New York City screening of Thank You Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story on Thursday, April 25.

The absence came just days after Jon Bon Jovi’s shocking admission that he was unfaithful to his wife early in their marriage. During an interview with Independent, the singer credit the longevity of his marriage with, “It’s about never lying about having been a saint, but not being a fool enough to f*** up the home life, either.”

The band’s song “Bed Of Roses” also alludes to infidelity on the road with lyrics like “‘Cause a bottle of Vodka is still lodged in my head/And some blonde gave me nightmares/I think that she’s still in my bed” and “Tonight, I won’t be alone/But you know that don’t mean I’m not lonely.”

It seems the couple will make it to their 35th anniversary on April 29.
