A new report has come out that Todd and Julie Chrisley quietly sold their home in Brentwood, Tennessee. Shockingly this sale happened nearly a year ago. Todd & Julie Chrisley Quietly Sell Their Tennessee Home
According to TMZ, Todd and Julie Chrisley sold their Brentwood, Tennessee home back in April of last year. The outlet clarifies the sale flew under the radar because of how it was made. Turns out, Todd and Julie never officially listed the home on the market. So, the sale happened without anyone knowing about it for nearly a year.
Per public records, the couple successfully sold the 13,279-square-foot home for $5.2M. Digging a bit deeper into the records, this does mean the couple made a profit on the home. Back in 2019, they purchased the home for $3.375M.
What Will They Do With The Money?
Understandably, one wonders how Todd and Julie Chrisley will spend $5.2M from behind bars. According to TMZ, it is highly unlikely the couple will see a penny of the profit they made from this real estate deal.
As fans know, Todd and Julie Chrisley are currently behind bars. In addition to some serious time, they were also ordered to pay $17.2M in restitution. TMZ speculates the couple likely sold the home to make a payment on the restitution debt.
Presently, Todd and Julie are also the owners of a home in Nashville as well. To date, there is nothing on the books about that property getting sold as well. It, however, is possible the couple plans on doing additional real estate deals off the market to get the money they need to pay the restitution.
Savannah Chrisley Vowed To Help
As TV Shows Ace previously reported, Savannah Chrisley revealed plans to help pay the restitution her parents owe. Their lawyer noted that Savannah has zero obligation to assist in paying that debt. Savannah, however, felt it was the right thing to do.
Will Todd & Julie Chrisley Even Pay It?
There has also been chatter from Todd and Julie Chrisley’s legal team in the past that they had no plans to pay the restitution. Their legal team explained paying the restitution was admitting guilt. Likewise, they were appealing to have the conviction thrown out. If the conviction gets thrown out, the restitution would go with it. So, their legal team argues paying the restitution isn’t the right move until the appeal process concludes.
