‘Counting On’ Jessa Duggar Gives Small Sons Knives For Gifts
Counting On alum Jessa Duggar is getting called out for her latest vlog. The 31-year-old mom has been relishing her time with her newborn child, George. She even documented his first Christmas with them last year. However, the fifth Duggar child caught the attention of many with the gifts her kids received. Counting On: Jessa Duggar’s Creative Christmas Idea
Jessa recently took to YouTube to share a 15-minute vlog about her family’s holidays. According to the Counting On alum, she made her kids pick one gift from their Christmas tree from December 21st up to Christmas Eve. Spurgeon, Henry, Ivy, and Fern received so many gifts, from toys to school items. Many were also surprised to see how big Jessa’s kids have become. The mother of five later shared a glimpse of her family’s playtime in the snow.
Jessa Gets Called Out For Shocking Gift To Kids
Despite her positive vlog, many were left scratching their heads. Some Redditors even called out Jessa following her latest video. According to some, there was a part in the video where Spurgeon and Henry received knives in their Christmas socks. The poster was also curious if this was a normal thing in the family and their church. Here are some of the comments Jessa Duggar received.
- “In this video Henry who is still only 6 years old, get a knife in his stocking. Spurgeon, aged 8, also gets a knife in his stocking. Is this normal for Americans to give their kids knives for Christmas or is this a fundie thing?”

Counting On: This Wasn’t The First Time In The Family
Some members of the Duggar family have already upset many fans by putting their kids’ lives in danger. One of them was Joy-Anna, who got called out for placing a rifle near her son, Gideon. She was also criticized for taking a picture with her newborn, Gunner, sitting on her car’s steering wheel. Many were also upset when she drove an ATV without any proper gear during her pregnancy with Gunner.
Jessa was also slammed for installing a hinge on their garden door, which could easily harm the kids’ fingers when they got stuck in it. Meanwhile, some of the Duggar kids decided to keep their kids’ lives private such as Jill and Jinger Duggar.
