‘Bachelorette’ Michelle Young Makes Debut With New Boyfriend
Former Bachelorette star Michelle Young and her boyfriend, Jack Leius, made their debut as a couple on Thursday night. The pair attended the wedding of Golden Bachelor stars Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist. Michelle and Jack opened up about what it has been like to finally bring their relationship public. Here’s what they had to say.
Michelle Young’s Bachelorette Heartbreak
Bachelorette fans will remember Michelle Young from Season 18. She handed out roses in 2021 and found love on the show with Nayte Olukoya. Unfortunately, the pair broke up just six months after the season finale.

“I will say that this is not something that I foresaw and I’ll leave it there,” Michelle said about the split at the time.
Nayte also issued a statement about their break up, saying, “As we grow and learn, we also realize that sometimes somebody that you hold dear to your heart isn’t somebody that you’re meant to spend the rest of your life with.”
Many viewers were shocked to learn that the couple didn’t last. However, it seems that Michelle Young has found a new beau and her love life has never been better.
Michelle & Jack’s Relationship Has A Strong Foundation
Michelle and her boyfriend, Jack Leius, spoke to People about how it felt to finally bring their relationship public on Thursday before attending the Golden Bachelor wedding.
“It’s a privilege to have my lady by my side,” Jack told People. “It’s going to be a good time. It’s going to be fun just celebrating love tonight, but more importantly, just spending time with Michelle and meeting new people.”
Although Young and Leius announced their relationship on Instagram in October, last night was the first time they appeared at an event in public together. According to Michelle Young, they have been all about family since they became an official couple and it’s been nothing but “green flags” for her.

“My mom and my dad genuinely love him so much. My family loves him so much. My nephews love him so much, and it’s just been a really easy transition,” Michelle said. She went on to say communication has been key in their relationship. “We had to talk about a lot of just different things and be really honest with each other,” the former Bachelorette star shared.
Michelle Young recalled one of the first real tests of their relationship. Four days after they met, photos of Jack and Michelle went viral. “I said, ‘S***, Jack, we’re out and everybody’s posting about us. They saw us. There’s all these pictures. What do I need to know about you that I don’t know?’”
His answer was a bit humorous but honest. Jack Leius responded, “Well, I got two or three speeding tickets and I’m asthmatic.”
Jack agreed that their relationship started out really strong. “Our foundation is undefeated,” he said.
A new season of The Bachelor will air on January 22 on ABC.
