Theresa Nist & Gerry Turner Are Married!
After months of anticipation…. Just kidding! Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner tied the knot on Thursday, January 4, just weeks after their engagement aired on the Golden Bachelor finale in November.
In addition to the 150 invited guests, millions of people watched the wedding on television. It wasn’t the first Bachelor Nation TV wedding, but it was the first with a couple in their golden years.
They married at a luxurious resort in California, but what other small details should fans know about the wedding?
All About Theresa Nist’s Wedding Dress
Despite their untraditional romance, Theresa and Gerry opted for traditional wedding attire. Throughout the show, fans may have noticed the groom’s preference for blue suits. He told PEOPLE magazine that donning a blue suit for the wedding was his original plan.
However, after speaking with his bride, they chose a classic black tux.
Theresa Nist had help of her own when picking out her wedding dress. She enlisted several contestants from the Golden Bachelor to help her choose from the Badgley Mischka options available.
“I asked each one of these beautiful women to go pick their favorite. And then I picked three of mine, and I walked down the stairs with them,” she said about the process of choosing a wedding dress.
She accessorized with vintage jewelry provided by go-to Bachelor jeweler Neil Lane. The jewelry included a necklace “made in Paris in 1875 and set with over 25 carats of old European cut diamonds, plus a large natural pearl.”
Theresa also wore a bracelet from the Edwardian era, about 1900, and has 20 carats of old European diamonds and pearls. She completed her outfit with earrings, also from 1900, that have over 9 carats of diamonds.

The Golden Bachelor couple’s wedding bands were custom-designed by Neil Lane.
Gerry Turner opted for an exquisite handmade carved meteorite ring. However, Theresa went a more traditional route with the classic eternity band. The ring has 18 round diamonds weighing over 4 carats, all set in platinum.
According to Lane, the theme of the wedding bands was “Eternity and Heaven on Earth.”

Now that the wedding is over, Gerry and Theresa can plan their honeymoon. They were gifted a vacation to Italy by ABC. Theresa recently said that planning the wedding took so much of their time that they hadn’t been able to plan the Italy trip yet.
