This is not Emily And Billy England’s first time competing on America’s Got Talent. However, their first shot was not in the United States, although they did make their way to the U.S. just two years later. The two were born and raised in Birmingham, United Kingdom, and were raised in a family of circus-style performers. They then got a chance on Britain’s Got Talent in 2015.
The duo competed on the Britain’s Got Talent Season 9 in 2015. They auditioned with a performance to the song “Live and Let Die” and impressed the judges enough to move on. They then ended up making it to the semi-finals, where they finally went home. A dog trick act won that season of BGT.
Emily And Billy England then made their way to America’s Got Talent in 2017, which was Season 12. They got four yes votes and then saw a very familiar journey. They ended up making it to the semi-finals, where they ended up eliminated from the show. A puppeteer won that season with Darci Lynne Farmer. Now, Emily And Billy England are back for another try with AGT: Fantasy League.

Emily And Billy England impressed the judges once again in 2024 as they set off on their journey on AGT: Fantasy League. They hope to make it further than the semi-finals this time and have someone big on their side. As mentioned, the judges also work as coaches this season. Simon Cowell wanted them, and they were on his team when they hit the stage.
The two came out and went as fast as expected with their roller-skating act which included Emily popping balloons mid-air with flaming knives attached to her skates. Howie Mandell said that Cowell was lucky to have them on his team, but that all changed very fast. Mel B hit the Golden Buzzer button and stole the duo from Cowell. This also sends them to the season finals. Emily said that she wanted to be on Mel B’s team, even when Cowell called them to join the show.
What do Emily And Billy England do in Las Vegas?
Most people on America’s Got Talent want to get a spot in Las Vegas. While Emily And Billy England never won AGT or BGT, they still got a spot in Vegas. After their time on AGT in 2017, they got a chance to perform live on several occasions and then finally went to Vegas as part of the Absinthe circus show.
The duo has actually been part of the show since 2015 (which was after BGT) and they put on an “edgy performance, certainly the most risqué and stressful activity ever to happen on roller skates, creates an exciting tension in the audience” (via Las Vegas Magazine).
