In just one week, Theresa Nist is set to marry Gerry Turner during a televised wedding special. But they spent their first Christmas as a newly engaged couple thousands of miles apart.
Gerry was in Indiana with his own family, though he took time to get his ‘sweetheart’ a special gift. Meanwhile, Theresa was enjoying time with her family in New Jersey.
Theresa took to Instagram after the holidays to share a video of bonding with some of her grandkids. The video was originally shared by her daughter, Jen Woolston.
In the video, the Golden Bachelor winner plays goalie as the younger kids kick around a soccer ball.

Theresa Nist and Gerry Turner previously talked about moving to South Carolina together. Theresa’s son lives near there, and it’s an area both seniors are interested in. However, they may decide to stay closer to home.
While some Bachelor Nation fans find it odd that Theresa didn’t spend Christmas with her fiance, it gave her a chance to bond with her siblings.
Theresa posed for an adorable photo with her two sisters and brother. While her family will attend her upcoming wedding, one of them has yet to meet Gerry.
The photo was posted on Reddit, and fans couldn’t get enough of Theresa.

However, one fan was concerned that Theresa and Gerry didn’t spend the holidays together. “Did she and Gerry not spend Christmas together?”
A Redditor replied with a possible explanation: “My guess is they chose to celebrate with their families separately since it’ll probably be the last time they can all get together for the holidays before Gerry and Teresa officially move (if they haven’t already.)”
