Wells Adams & Joe Amabile Weigh In On Another Golden Bachelor Season
A scandal threatened to tarnish Gerry Turner’s good name. However, the first season of Golden Bachelor was a huge success.
There’s a good chance the show will get a second season. Bachelor Nation alums Joe Amabile and Wells Adams weighed in on Gerry Turner’s influence on the franchise.
They shared why they gave the senior citizen a ‘free pass’ for his major Bachelor blunder. Wells and Joe also revealed their hopes for Golden Bachelorette.
Joe and Wells also discussed with Us Weekly whether the show could find another lead as successful as Gerry Turner.
“I think that’s what made Gerry so lovable is he’s very believable,” the BIP bartender said.
Joe Amabile agrees that Gerry Turner is special but also thinks the show will be able to find a lead for Season 2 “pretty easily.”
Wells Adams shared why the Golden Bachelor spinoff was so well received. “The stakes for someone who have been older, who’s lived a little bit more life, who’s had some tragedy and ups and downs all the sudden that story becomes really, really compelling.”
“I don’t know if we have another Gerry, but I think that they’ll be a lot of really good compelling story lines,” he added.

Gerry Turner took to his Instagram to share with followers that he’s very well-versed in gift-buying for his future wife.
The snapshot was taken at a store in Indiana, near where Gerry Turner lives. “Had so much fun shopping jewelry for my sweetheart.,” he wrote in the caption while giving a shout-out to Paige for her help in picking out the perfect gift.
He made sure not to ruin the surprise by sharing what gift he bought, but as one follower said in the comments, “Theresa will love whatever the gift is, it’s coming from her sweetheart.”
