Heather Sykes appears in My Big Fat Fabulous Life with her friend Whitney Way Thore. However, her circumstances changed and she’s feeling a bit broke this Christmas. Did Whitney step up and help her give the kids a wonderful Christmas?
MBFFL Heather Sykes & Whitney Might Not Be Friends These Days
Rumors arrived that Whitney Way Thore dumped her friend who appeared in the show since 2015. However, she returned after a hiatus, to Season 9 of the TLC show. My Big Fat Fabulous Life fans still thought that the friendship had cooled off though. And, that seemed to arise because she didn’t appear in photos of Babs’ funeral.
Some people hope that Heather Sykes dropped the My Big Fat Fabulous Life star as a friend. Many TLC critics think that Glenn’s daughter is way too nasty to keep friends hanging around forever. However it’s all speculation, and perhaps life is just keeping her very busy since her divorce from Jared Burton Pike. Bear in mind, she has two kids and holds down other jobs outside the TLC show.

On Reddit, a post that Heather wrote arrived about Christmas. it’s not clear where she posted it. But, it is possible it arrived via a limited audience post on Facebook. It made people wonder if Whitney helped her friend. According to the OP, it said:
Late-night Christmas Eve musings: This year has been super rough. I know I am not alone in that. This is the first time since I’ve been a single mom that I’ve been concerned that I’d be able to provide my kiddos the same kind of Christmas I have always managed. I know it’s not about the “stuff,” but it’s always been really important to me for them to feel like their lives have never suffered from the ups and downs of mine. Thanks to some really caring and giving people in my life, I was able to make it happen for them after all. If you played any part in that (and I include anyone who gave me any semblance of support and positivity in the last year in that group), I sincerely thank you. I hope I can give back to people and allow them to feel the love that’s been given to me, and that I have in my heart. Some people wondered if Whitney had given her TLC friend some money to help with Christmas costs. But most of them didn’t think it was likely.
- I just can’t see her doing this quietly; has she ever done ANYTHING quietly? And, if she did help her, you know darn well she’d expect/demand Heather to thank her on social media, etc. for everyone to see, and know what a wonderful friend she is.
- Sounds like Heather stopped “Renting her soul” to the devil by pretending to be Shitney’s BFF, and is struggling a wee bit financially.
- While it’s possible something happened to cause Twit to shove her aside, we should remember Heather didn’t want to film much in the early days when she was going through her divorce.
