Joey Graziadei’s season of The Bachelor hasn’t even premiered yet. But fans are already calling out a huge problem with the women cast. What’s going on? Keep reading for all the details.

What To Expect From Season 28 Of The Bachelor

After a successful season of the older generation looking for love, The Bachelor franchise returns to its tried and true format.

Season 20 runner-up Joey Graziadei was announced as the next Bachelor during the Bachelorette finale in August. In recent years, ABC has released the names and photos of the contestants a while before the premiere.

They dropped the scoop on the 32 contestants hoping to win Joey’s final rose. Not all of them will survive the first night in the Bachelor mansion.

In an unexpected crossover, the network enlisted four contestants from The Golden Bachelor to help promote Joey’s new season.

April, Susan, Kathy, and Nancy – or ASK’N, as they call themselves – took part in a holiday-themed poem reading called “‘Twas the Month Before The Bachelor.”

“‘Twas the month before The Bachelor and all through the Mansion, excitement was building with love and with passion,” the ladies recited. Snippets of Season 28 played through the clip, including several mentions of tennis.

Joey Graziadei is a professional tennis instructor. Many Bachelor Nation fans are excited to watch Joey’s journey, but others are already taking issue with the show. Why?

Fans Call Out Huge Problem With Joey’s Women

The women of Season 28 include a radiochemist, a mental health therapist, and a pair of sisters. The Golden Bachelor faced many comparisons to the flagship show, and many fans found it refreshing to see the older women supporting each other instead of fighting as the 20-somethings do.

So, when the identities of Joey’s women were released, some fans zeroed in on a huge problem with them. They’re all in their early 20s and unlikely to build a successful relationship with Joey.

However, not everyone is upset about the casting. The franchise has come under fire for years for its lack of diversity in casting. Season 28 features women of varying backgrounds and ethnicities, and one fan is here for it.

Season 28 of The Bachelor premieres on ABC on Monday, January 22, 2024. But first, tune in to watch Golden Bachelor couple Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist get married on the Golden Wedding special airing on Thursday, January 4.
