Season 17 Bachelor star Sean Lowe had his truck stolen earlier this year. A contestant from Brad Womack’s second season of The Bachelor recently found herself on the wrong end of a home invasion. What happened?

Ashley Spivey took to Instagram to share with her followers that life has been “absolute s**t” lately. In addition to a dog in ill health, she revealed that a “scary incident” happened at home recently.

“Remember how I posted that “man or bear” thing?” she wrote before diving into the details. (If you missed the reference, the internet is ablaze with posts about why women would choose bears over men.)

She shared that one night last week, her husband, Steven Hunsberger, decided to sleep on the couch since he would be up late. So, Ashley retired to their bedroom alone. But she was awoken in the middle of the night to find a man standing at the end of her bed staring at her!

Ashley said that they don’t have cameras inside the home, but her scream could be heard on the baby monitor in the other room. Despite her screaming, neither her daughter Penelope or her husband woke up.

So, how did the man get into the apartment?

How Intruder Got In

The Bachelor alum continued to share more details of the incident on several Instagram Story slides. She revealed how the man got into the apartment. Apparently, her husband forgot to lock the doors after walking the family dog.

It turned out that man lived in the same building. He claimed he was drunk and accidentally walk into the wrong apartment. But Ashley Spivey cast doubt on that by saying it was “pretty difficult” to get to the bedroom without tripping and falling on something.

Ashley Spivey Vents About Aftermath

Ashley Spivey was able to get the man out of the bedroom and the apartment without anything bad happening. Her husband slept through the entire thing.

She shared that she “never worried” about something like that happening because her apartment building is so secure.

The Bachelor star recounted people’s reaction when she told them the story. “Oh well he was drunk,” she heard from multiple people.
