The story that Gerry lied about not having a girlfriend after his wife, Toni passed away arrived with some nasty allegations. The story broke via The Hollywood Reporter who gave the ex a pretend name of “Carolyn.” And, she dished about how he was tight with money. Furthermore, she believes he fat-shamed her by taking her to a school reunion. More followed, and his family claimed there was little truth to the spiteful allegations.
After that, coupled with the accusation by Leslie Fhima that Theresa Nist’s man has zero integrity, Golden Bachelor viewers urged Theresa to reconsider marrying him. There has been a definite swing from fans loving the sweet 72-year-old since the scandal broke. On social media, a lot of people hope that Theresa dumps her man at the altar, or something equally dramatic.

Golden Bachelor Scandal Discussed By Jen Woolston
Recently, Jen Woolston chatted with Life and Style, and it became clear that she tackled her mom and the Golden Bachelor lead about the allegations. Surprisingly, she believes that some of the accusations against Gerry Turner are based on some truth. The outlet cited her as saying:
I think that there’s some bit of truth to some parts of it and they are on the same page about it, and that’s kind of good enough for me.
Theresa Nist’s daughter didn’t clarify the truthful bits. However, she did state that her mom and Gerry Turner talked through the list of claims by the ex:
My mom and Gerry had a conversation about it, and I don’t exactly know the full story, but, you know, she’s absolutely good with whatever they talked about. [Mom] feels good about everything. I think the thing with The Bachelor is that, you know, they do kind of want to make the story a little simpler and straightforward. You know, they’re not going to give every single detail. I mean, he’s 72. They’re not going to share everything that’s ever happened in his life.

I wish we could hear more from the ex! I hope His bride knows and deserves to know all she can before she says I do because she seems like a very sweet person.
If the X has to go by a fake name, I for one have doubts about her accusations. I admire Gerry and Theresa for getting on with their lives and wish everyone else would do the same.
